no, it is not mine, but it is my car's twin : same model/year same colour, interior, gauges....... it is difficult to find differences
so even if it is not mine, tks aniway

2pics from the same view of both cars to see how similar they are

hi emilio

i am sorry not to have met you at brighton so that we could have talked about the two cars and compared notes. there are lots of questions i would have liked to ask you about details relating to the car.

what is your chassis number? (mine is 1121034 as you probably know).

somebody mentioned mirrors in this thread - that is one issue i would have liked to discuss. my car is extremely original, but i suspect the mirrors were changed at one time, and i myself changed them again last year when i couldn't lay my hands on the vitalone's we were looking for. the series 1 came with several mirror types in its short production run as i understand - which mirrors was your car supplied with originally?

how many other lowbody cars remain in europe, do you know? about half of the 50 cars produced in 78/79 are accounted for on glen's website - are you aware of others?

best wishes

david sherman (london)

hi David, nice to see you here on l-talk,welcome
i am sure you'll appreciate the site
i wish i could have been at this meeting, looks a wonderfull one

my chassis is 1121020, 78 car
70's countach were almost build on demand and as you know there are no one car exactly like an other (even if ours are pretty close )
as an example my car still has the old, (triky) lp400 seat belts ...

mirrors: you are right, 70's countachs came with at least 3 different models of mirrors from factory, according to financial and forniture problems
i have 2 vitaloni, i think they are the "sebring" model, supposed to be the originals
yours actual mirrors never came from factory for what i know , your car had one only square mirror as you saw in these old pics:
http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/C...4historic.html

i don't know how many low body are still in europe, sorry
my guess is more or less 10-15 78-79 cars
but i know of a white 78 S1 not in the ILR, sold in italy 4-5 months ago:
the owner put it for sale, only advertised on one site and the car sold for 15k euro more than asked for some buyers bidding on it
unfortunatly when i called to see the car it was already sold so i can't tell anithyng on the conditions
hope to have been helpfull
my best
Emilio
