...the LP640 is at 21, but i find it odd that the Merc-SLR is placed higher than the lambo, even though LP640 has a higher top speed. how strange.

Its not all top speed at the track...
And if you look at the rest of the list its more of a "my 100 favorite sports cars" list than one based on real facts and stats.

The lp640 holds the record for highest top speed down the Top Gear runway. If you look for lp640 stuff in You Tube and click the one with Clarkson and a green Murci he babbles something like:

"and its got a top speed of, well, lets find out"

he goes around the turn onto the long straight and floors it
"this is the fastest anything has been down here ever!!"

yea im really happy the lambo is the fastest thing down that runway, the superleggera LP640 should be faster than that when it comes out, cant wait

I still think that if they take the LP640 around their track once more, it can do better.

I agree, and didn't they test it in the wet too?

No, actually the track was dry. But still it didnt look that fast.

Yeah, I think they could have pushed it harder as well. Doesn't even matter with the Superleggera coming out though. Besides, anything in the top 7 or 8 cars is practically the same, and beating the Carrera GT is certainly a feather in any car's cap.

I think its funny that this list has 3 Hondas, 3 Lambos and a Saturn. Who'd ever thing these car would ever be rated in any list together. Why no Koenigsegg though?
