There are several things that you don't understand here.
The design looks like the 1966-1972 Miura because the design celebrates
the 40th Anniversary of the original car's body design, as the body design
of the original car didn't appear until 1966 at Geneva.
And as far as not taking much thought or effort, it took two years from
start to signoff to complete the body design, but the new Miura is not
complete yet as the design is not a running car. It is not as easy as it
looks! The new car looks like the old, but it is really totally different!
You will see/hear many more details in the days to follow. I would venture
to say that NONE of the parts of the original would fit on the completed
new car. So you're basically saying that it takes no thought or effort to
design a new car!
And as far as comparing to Ford, well, Lamborghini has produced a number
of totally new and original exotic supercar designs in the last 40 years.
Ford has not. They've gone retro on ALL of their exotic supercars, since the
1960's. The new Cobra Roadster, Ford GT, and most recently Daytona
Coupe concepts, of which only the Ford GT has been produced so far.
Which is cool, but hardly an accurate comparison with Lamborghini. This
is because Ford doesn't really design and build exotic supercars as their
main business. Lamborghini does!
