Default Road and Track: World Superpowers

Road and Track did a test between Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari F430, Porsche 997 Turbo, Ford GT, Dodge Viper SRT10, and Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=3768

The Gallardo posted the second fastest lap time in Quattroruote's test track, right behind the Ferrari F430:

Ferrari F430: 1:17.4
Lamborghini Gallardo: 1:17.8
Chevrolet Corvette Z06: 1:19.5
Dodge Viper SRT10: 1:19.5
Ford GT 1:19.8
Porsche 911 Turbo: 1:20.0

I think the Gallardo did really well. I'm surprised about the 911 Turbo, though; I expected it to do better. But then again, we don't know what condition the tires of these cars were in.

Also, I really like the way the Ferari F430 looks with the black rear section... don't know what it's called. I've always thought that color scheme looked better on Ferraris than one solid color. It makes it look ten times better. The F430 needs it, or else it looks too plain.

the only reason the F430 was 2 parts of a second quicker is because its RWD. But other then G is the machine. I wonder y Top Gear hasnt tested 599 on their track. I hope they do a drag race between the 599 and LP640.

(Looking at the specs R&T published in the article)
If Lamborghini could only reduce the Gallardo's weight to the F430's level, it would be quite a weapon.
