But then you wont have a Lamborghini!!

And I think the number was somewhere around 5000 for the amount of cars built before the Gallardo.

I counted just today over 70 used Gallardo's for sale on Cartraderonline. Check it out for yourselves.

All those are outside of my justification zone.

Jeff and Sparro are right on. And while there are definately more than usual numbers of Gallardo's out there, I beleive Lamborghini is balancing exclusivity and availability very well. Afterall, is 1500 cars a year that many?

The more Gallardos are produced, the higher the depreciation.

Prior was more like 11,000 units in total - all models.

Corresponding to the lamborghini's exclusive standard, such prevailing number of Gs for sale on the market might seem overflowing, perhaps even over-numbered. I hate to sound vulgur by mentioning Ferrari or Pagani but it looks like many people are comparing Lambos to Ferraris and other similar exotics in the back of their mind without vivid admittance. Sure, compared to F430, Koeni and Zonda, there are more Gs out there currently. However, the Ferrari assembly line in Modena has just began to settle their labor union issue, which has immobilized the production completely in mid to late 2006, for rather a long period. such disruption has not deviate the already-high mark ups, elevating the price often higher under the 'scarce allocation' excuse. US must be the biggest market for such 'exotic' car manufacturers, yet at the same time, the US is also the most strict nation in selecting who could come in and who cannot. With the most severe pollution on earth, restriction on epa ratings and smog related issues are sky high demanding. Also pretending to care for its citizen, the US also has slim crash test allowance. for these reasons, many great cars cannot be imported. the only ways for paganis and koenisseggs got in to US was to increase the weight, and lenghten the fron overhang and wheel base. Even the miata before the current mx-5 had to lenghten the windshield. Might sound too pessimistic but i do have my clear arguement and complaint toward US policy. Give us high octane fuel at majority of gas station and i will stop taking catalysts out of my cars and help the environment. Just a few words of lamenting~

Are you sure. I really don't know and if its 11000, its higher than i thought. With the Diablo at around 2600 units (as the most produced Lambo for twelve year run between 1990-2001), where did all those cars come from?350, 400, countach, Islero, Jarama, espada, miura, murcielago, diablo. What am I missing?
