Default Re : 5000th Gallardo

Automobili Lamborghini starts the year with production record of five thousandth Gallardo
Automobili Lamborghini has already achieved a new production record in the first month of 2007: Lamborghini Gallardo number 5000 has rolled off the production line at the house of Sant'Agata Bolognese. This remarkable achievement builds on the previous production record realised at the end of December 2006, with the delivery of 2087 vehicles during one year.

"This is another important milestone for Lamborghini, " said President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. To have produced 5000 Gallardo is testament to the quality of, and customer demand for, our V10 product...

"The Lamborghini brand is increasingly sought after in markets worldwide through our substantially grown dealer network, through which supply versus demand is carefully managed, " concluded Winkelmann.

The five thousandth black Gallardo coupé, due for delivery to a customer in the UK, was celebrated by assembly line workers along with the president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann; Klaus-Peter Koerner, Production Director; and Ingo Budde, Quality Director.

The Gallardo continues to affirm its success. Introduced to the market in 2003, it marked its first record in November 2005 with production of 3000 units, already representing the most sold model in Lamborghini's history.

The ten cylinder Gallardo coupé produces 520 hp (382 kW), with a top speed of 315 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds.

To me this says that the Gallardo's production should be ended, if there are to many of them then its just another car you see every day.

P.S the black Gallardo in the above pic is amazing looking in the pic.

One of the reasons I have mine up for sale right now. A few weeks ago I was at a stoplight and there was another Gallardo the same color as mine across the intersection. I have met the owners of 3 other Arnacio Borealis Gallardos in my town.

Ya but compare it to how many 360's or 430's you see. If you were in an F car, you would of seen 4! There would of been one on every corner of that intersection!

ahahahhahaha aint that the truth! there are about 10 430's + 360's (at least, people do not drive much around here) of them in my town I beleive. And I think five classic lambo's:

A Miura, a Urraco, a Countach and Diablo Roadster and an Espada.

when you pull upto an interection in a lambo and see another one of the same car next to you thats when you know you have to many in production. and the amount of 360s//430s out there is why i dont like ferraris. just doesnt meen anything anymore when you see 4 of them a day.

how many Lamborghinis were produced in total before the Gallardo? I bet it was less than 5000. That is incredible how popular that car is and the demand. But, there is a down side to higher production and that is depreciation in the resale market. Depreciation is good for the next buyer, not for the original buyer. The more Gallardos are produced, the higher the depreciation.

Guys, the factory is doing well, at last. Let's be happy about that? If exclusivity is your only concern: buy a Pagani, a Koenigsegg or a Veyron for that matter .
