Default Mama Miura!!! Enzo Killer!!!

Looks like good things are on their way! Got Automobile Magazine and here's what they have to say.

"Lamborghini will revive its most storied nameplate, the Miura, for a new range-topping supercar. "It's our answer to the Ferrari Enzo. It is a radical car in many ways, it is very light and powerful, and yet it's been engineered more for the road than for the track," says a highly placed insider.
Lamborghini will adapt the mid-engine chassis of corporate parent Audi's upcoming Le Mans coupe to make the limited-edition (300 to 400 units) Miura. Since Audi itself uses an evolution of the Gallardo's spaceframe technology, it is relatively easy to reskin what is basically the same structure. To be assembled alongside the Audi, the Miura will be lower, wider, and shorter than the donor car and could look like our exclusive artist's rendering. It also gets a unique interior with a minimalist cockpit and a period-look center console that eschews such modern conveniences as a navigation system.
The running gear, however, is totally contemporary and includes carbon-ceramic brakes and a paddle-shift transmission. Whereas the Le Mans is fitted with a 5.2-liter V-10, the Miura will boast an upgraded version of Lambo's 6.2-liter V-12. The displacement increases to 6.5 liters, the power to 700 hp, and the torque peak to 553 lb-ft, sources say. The engineers would love to see this beast be rear-wheel-drive only, but they will more likely share a rear-bias version of Quattro all-wheel drive.
The car's design incorporates subtle overtones of the original Miura. While the proportions and some of the detailing hark back to the late 1960s, the surfaces, the greenhouse, and the stance are quite modern. WE could see it in the flesh as early as next year. Georg Kacher"

Also in the magazine,
"More Future Lambos
The Miura is not the only addition planned for the Lamborghini lineup. Two more new models are in the works: modern reinterpretations of the LM002 and the Espada. We'll also see a big power boost for the next Murcielago.

2+2 Coupe
A four-place coupe, Lamborghini's first since the Espada of the 1970s. Could be mid-engined, a derivative of Audi's Le Mans of the Gallardo. Alternatively, might go front-engined, using the next Audi A6 as a base. Supercharged 4.2-liter Audi V-8, the Gallardo's V-10, or the Murcielago's V-12. Could arrive in late 2007 (mid-engine), 2009 (front engine).

LM00X
High-performance version of Audi's upcoming Q5 crossover SUV. 400-hp V-8 or supercharged 500-hp V-10; air suspension.
Four seats, accessed via "swan-wing" doors or rear half-doors. Expect it in 2008.

Watch Out, Veyron
The Murcielago could get a massive power infusion in its next generation, with an all-new 6.0-liter V-12 pumping out 1000 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque."

Will post pics if someone can tell me how to reduce from 6mb to 19.7kb.

Not to be drag, but I really wish they wouldn't tarnish the Miura like that. Leave it be, and develop your own Audighihi Audi!

Oh brother, that's what we need, yet another rehashed retro-revival car. Why don't they just name them something new instead of trying to prostitute the old classic nameplate? These are totally new cars and have absolutely nothing in common with the original classics, other than the Lamborghini name.

Ford's done it ad naseum, GM is trying it, Volkswagen did it. Enough already.

Call me an old-school traditionalist.

GMAFB. That is no Miura.
A Miura does not have girly shifters.
The new look is similar the Lotus Elise.
These new cars make me sick.

That isn't cool enough. It's not Badass like the Gallardo or Murcielago. It screams unoriginality, or a lack of any novel ideas. It reminds me of a Chrysler a little bit. Just my opinion and I've only seen 1 pic of half the car, but as it stands it's a little boring. It's not Super enough. It needs to be radicalized. We want people to **** themselves and/or have heart attacks when in the presence of the Enzo Killer. It looks to calm, to low key, to tame. It looks like a puppy, whereas the Gallardo/Murci look like menacing demons. It's gotta look badder than the Enzo to be an Enzo killer.

looks a little similar to that ford GTO (I think thats what model it is)
If anything, they should just restart production on the Miura! They would probably want to update some of the parts, but thats no problem!

Why does the "Enzo Killer" have big plush back seats for soccer moms to put groceries and car seats for their bratty kids? What a joke.

Ill take the 1,000 HP Murcie and KILL THEM ALL.
