After reading Countless articles over the past few months on a new line of cars, or suv's, or 2+2's, I think Lamborghini is blowin smoke up all our dresses!!!!!

IMO, all these press releases and rumours are just Market Polls.

I just have this feeling that Lamborghini will just keep making SuperCars and convertible SuperCars and maybe around 07-08 a 2+2.

screw retro, and i think Itadmin might be right. this may be a form of polling.

I too think such a horrible thing as that SUV would fail miserably

Thumbs up

Actually i think the design is sporty, these pics have been floating for over a year now. Huck, is usually on the money with his PS's. so expect too see something like this if not very close. The SUV market is still huge and is now entering many other countries which is a promising thing to many...
an example, is the new Escalade releasing in Spain, personally the Q7 is digusting an a waste of time, but hey, everyone has an SUV so might as well move in on the action. Im sure it will sell ok. As for Lambo though many of you have disagreed with my posts of Lambo entering the market more strongly, here is just a start. Looks like the Miura is going to build, and so is this SUV, too much talk over it in the past year, and at this point it seems like its going to happen, this is a money making market (car industry) and so long as there will be buyers there will be more cars to produce. Though many are hating now, several will own it, if it is too be produced.

Any SUV owners here? Im sure there are plenty...
Any members here with some good funds set aside? Sure there are plenty of those too...

If it does come out to play, be sure you will be seeing it in the wealthy parts of town. And once you see it, you will want one (if you can afford one).
My guess is low $100K to start.

Again, i like the styling, and you can be sure the interior will be too die for as well.

Well I agree with both sides.. I loved the Ultra indestructible looks of the LM002, but this SUV has problems,

1)..Its an Audi with a bodykit (unless like the Touareg/Cayenne it only shares the floorplan with its sister)
2).. Its butt ugly , without the 'charm' of the LM002
3).. The LM002 was a genuine off roader (like the Range Rover) it had kudos as a military vehicle (look at hummer H2 sales in the US, people buy it because they think they're driving the real thing!)

I think it will be built, there are a lot of people out there with more brains than sense/style (look at cayenne sales), and it would be a money maker.

I would love to see a new espada (saw some artists impressions in a magazine). I'm sure there are a lot of us with kids, and a 4 seater would at least allow us to go on holiday in our bulls rather than choosing between the car and the kids (what an easy choice).

As for a lightweight RWD Murcie, yup great idea, apparently a racing team is developing a Gallardo on this basis.

I live in hope of great things to come...

I agree more with your bottom portion, and feel the same way.

As for the build i think it will be based on Audi platform,

And as for charm of the LM002, i dont see it, its just a big, funny proportioned, military truck. But certainly many love it and thats great.

I think people buy Hummers because they are big and bad and have a certain status about them, that then flows to the owner of having the biggest SUV on the block that could fit a huge family in it. Is' gangster like, the get out of my way look. Anyways i think lots of people like it, nothing to do with military, besides its not the H1 that is a full blown African Safari truck. Those buyers have a different reason too spend $150K. They use it for what its for! Not to show off on the streets. Because we all know you dont see that many of them around with big chrome rims and bumpin' systems.

If Lamborghini has any plans to build another production car, I don't think that it would be hard to find out. If you really wanted to know, a little white-collar espionage will do the trick. But isn't the factory being utilized to capacity? Tooling up for a new factory, or addition to, cannot be hidden easily. You would see construction at least.

The real question I have is, will Audi take the jump and build this new vehicle (whatever it is) in Germany or eastern block to save money? I'm sure the Italians are concerned with this.

Further, Do you really think that Audi will prostitute the Lamborghini name to build anything but an exotic? ...I'm not as quick as I would like to be with an answer. I'd like to think Lamborghini wouldn't, but I'm not sure about Audi. They would be shooting themselves in the foot in the exotic world. However, unless they think that more money can be made!

Think of it this way: (my numbers are just a guess)

G Cars production:$ 70,000,000
M cars production:$250,000,000

Total Gross sales:$320,000,000

Assume 20% profit $64,000,000

Add to these number two new production vehicles under just under $100,000 and would sell about 25,000 units. This doesn't sound unattainable.

Total Gross sales $2.5 Billion X 20%

Total Profit $500,000,000

Money will make you do funny things.
