It's built some of the world's finest supercars - but now Lamborghini is going back to its roots with an astonishing 4x4, exclusively revealed in this week's mag.

The Italian giant is no stranger to all-wheel-drive vehicles - company founder Ferrucio Lamborghini started out building tractors - but its next new model won't necessarily be a racer. Enthusiasts of the brand might have expected a four-seater to rival the Ferrari Scaglietti, but it looks as though a luxury off-roader is on track instead.

Lambo president Stephan Winklemann told Auto Express: "There is more need for an SUV, and parent firm Audi produces the Q7, so for me, this is a better option than a 2+2. I would like to do more, but we are a small company and can't build all the models we want at once."

As I've already posted. Audi...A public company is under shareholder pressure to grow, so instead of making the low volume much more desirable Miura, they've chosen to go main stream with that Freekin ugly thing and horn in on an already mature saturated market but one which they will sell more product, thus increasing shareholder satisfaction. All based on the bucks baby, screw the image and anything else that would be good for the Mark.

And needless to say it'll be an Audi with a Lamborghini badge on it.

It looks like a BMW X5 with a funky front end to it.

There is absolutely no sense to build a Audi Q7 copy.

How shall buy this nonsense when it finally comes out, every stupid has then already a Touran, Toureg or a Porsche Cayenne.

They would better produce a car like the Pagani Zonda, a Murci 300 Kilos lighter and RWD, that would be a true Lamborghini!

This is typically Audi. Playing it safe, a revenue generator, and a design driven by economics rather than passion. I predict it will be a sales failure if they go ahead with it.
