What happened to my post?
I briefly discussed my belief that Lamborghini is definitely heading towards more radical designs, and has some great models in store! I also mentioned that the moderation on this board continues to be top-flight.

Also, I think torean bull makes a great point: the euro/dollar exchange. Last I checked the euro was at 1.47xxx and seemed position to increase. This most probably played a large role in the significant MSRP increase, unless they set prices for different markets in the applicable currency, which they might (and probably do to an extent). This combined with the new standard features could justify the increase at least partially. Only accurate way to tell would be to check the % increase in European markets. Of course, everything is overpriced now-a-days, just a matter of how much they are robbin' ya! PS: Just checked currency rates and the Euro has moved past 1.48xxx [Live rates at 2008.02.25 20:09:30 UTC]. If the Euro/Dollar continues to fluctuate in this manner it could artificially inflate prices as companies try to insulate themselves from currency changes.

Thought I’d throw my two cents in here…
I’ve been looking to pick up a 06/07 Gallardo for a couple of months. So far I’ve zeroed in on a price range of $190-220K. I’m thinking of simultaneously ordering the new LP560-4 (coup) which I expect will arrive in November-December 2009. I would then trade my Spyder in on the new car. I’m curious to see people’s speculation on the following: 1) How much will the Spyder depreciate in 6 months? (I know this is a total guess) 2) By preordering will I get the new LP560-4 sooner then waiting to see one on the showroom floor? 3) Is it possible initial demand for the LP560-4 will drive the price above sticker (My 2007 Ferrari F430 was $35K over sticker) Thanks, Jalem. |
