Default Five Decades of Lamborghini Exhibit!

'Five Decades of Lamborghini' Exhibit Presents Timeless Italian Design

Vintage and Contemporary Automotive Exposition Joins in
Fortunoff's 'The Secrets of Italy' Event Celebrating Italian Artistry

Sunday, December 4th, 6 pm to 9 pm at Fortunoff in White Plains

NEW YORK, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The striking evolution of Italian car
design will be presented in "Five Decades of Lamborghini," a one-day-only
exhibition of sports cars that bridged the gap between racers and station cars
and defined luxury and performance for two generations of automotive
aficionados.
The exhibition is being presented by the non-profit Columbus Citizens
Foundation of New York City in partnership with Fortunoff. It coincides with
Fortunoff's "The Secrets of Italy" pre-holiday VIP event, which celebrates the
unsurpassed artistry of Italian designers, craftsmen, artisans and culinary
masters.
Starting with Lamborghini's first production model and ending with the
latest 2005 Gallardo, which has a top speed of 192 miles per hour, "Five
Decades of Lamborghini" presents cars that illustrate advances in materials,
technology and design. The developments range from an elegant 1965 350 GT to
the sensually curvilinear 1972 Miura SV and the aggressively geometric
Countach, which has been likened to a speeding, slippery wedge.
The arc of Lamborghini design continues with a 1995 all-wheel drive Diablo
VT Super Car, with its softened profile and top speed of 202 miles per hour,
to a dazzling sunburst yellow 2005 Gallard Coupe.
The Gallardo on exhibit will be auctioned by the Columbus Citizens
Foundation on New Year's Eve. The raffle is restricted to only 300 tickets,
offered at a price of $1,000 each. Raffle tickets will be available at "The
Secrets of Italy" event.
Also on view will be a Lamborghini LM002, the company's only all-terrain
vehicle and one of just 301 produced between 1986 and 1993, the production run
for the car. The impression of the LM002's royal bearing was confirmed when
the first model of the car was delivered to King Hassan of Morocco in 1986.
