Concept S Back in the News
Lamborghini Concept S
At the Geneva Motor Show, the House of the Raging Bull will present a new design study that renews a great Lamborghini tradition. Like the 350 GTS and the Miura Roadster before it, the Lamborghini "Concept S" is a unique car, an extreme and spectacular expression of the Lamborghini brand. Created at the Centro Stile Lamborghini in Sant'Agata Bolognese by Luc Donckerwolke, Head of Lamborghini Design, the "Concept S" is his extreme interpretation of an „open car". Using the Gallardo as a basis, Donckerwolke drew inspiration from the classic single-seater racing cars of the past to create this latest design study. The classic single-seaters did not have a traditional windscreen, but utilised the so-called „saute-vent" (in French: a sudden change in the wind) in order to direct air over the head of the driver - and so does the "Concept S". These devices divide the cabin into two distinct compartments, giving the car an aggressive and futuristic look and also creating a space between them that acts as an additional air inlet for the powerful engine, which is positioned behind the seats. An electronically controlled, retractable central rear view mirror allows the driver - when required - to see what is happening behind the car. The aerodynamics of the "Concept S" have been optimised thanks to front and rear spoilers and a large rear diffuser. http://www.duemotori.com/news/auto_n..._Concept_S.php

Anyone hear anything about production? The thing is absolutely wonderful. I had heard that it was coming soon but I'd like something a little more official sounding. Roytoy know anything?

All I have heard is that it;s definately going into production.....200 copies over 2 years is the number being thrown around!!
and the rumour is the engine (if it's a V10)will have considerably more HP than the G cars.....and very close to the fastest Murci's and if it's the V12 it will be the fastest car Lamborghini has ever produced for the street!!

This is what I HAVE from my INSIDE Source........
The CAR IS being built for sell. The first units to start production in June/July 06.....a total of 101 units, the first one off is gone, 99 for the public, one for the factory.......5 per month till completion. The first set for Europe ect.........Then the USA............Said to be 3 To Canada and 44 to the USA..... The motor is to be a V-10, however the NEW Generation V-10 with approx 585 HP.......ALL will be as of now E-Gear........with the Exception of 3 cars.... One to Jay Leno for 6 speed order, one to a buyer in Japan........and OF COURSE you all know me, one to me as ORDER placed last year with JAY in Montery....... ALl are to have black interior with matching outer color STiching.......as of now only 3 colors, Pearl White, Black and the COmapny Signature color of Pearl Yellow....... This is the best I have........Oh and ALSO added rear view camera.....

Roy, your info may be better than mine, but there are definitely at least four for Canada, and mine is supposed to enter the production line come April 2006 as per current factory schedule....

I think you are correct, the JUNE/JULY time is for USA delivered cars.I know Canada gets them befor us.......I was told 3, but maybe 4 to Canada.....
Why not it would be great..which color are you getting?
