Hardly rare, they made the same number of Gallardos.

Agree with the earlier comment that if your budget runs out at a '08 or earlier, go 6 speed manual.

I'd prefer to be this side of $120k but could go up. I think if I go over $120k I'd go LP560 over 430. Course the least I spend the least depreciation. So if I could get a 1st Gen G and sort the steering somehow that might be ideal. Or drive a 355 GTS and see if I fall in love and then save like $60k!

The cheapest good '09 LP560s are about $160k, and that still doesn't address the AWD numbness.

Porsche 997 GT2 - it has the steering response you so desire, the power you so desire (and it's cheaper to get more power), the reliability you so desire.

It won't have the presence of a Ferrari or Lambo, but it'll have that big-ass wing. If you want anymore presence, then get an off-the-wall color or sticker it up and you'll get the looks. Or, get a 997 GT3 RS.

GT3-RS would be the only Porsche I'd shop against anything Italian. It is the most practical and least emotional choice. Gallardo may check both boxes. Did any of you regret getting Gallardo and long for Ferrari?

I found it easier to drive my old 996 Turbo. The steering was razor sharp (sneeze and you end up in the next lane) and visibility was awesome -- hardly any blind spots.

End the discussion: for your price range of 130k you are better off with 2010 or 2011 GT3RS. That is my next car, amazing piece of machine. You get a newer car compared to a G, forget the 550 or 560 secondary to budget and the 355 as well, unless you want something slow and costly.

Something comparable to a $120-130K G would be GTRs or Audi R8 V10. How about the new 2013 Viper SRT10? That's within your range also! Flashy and powerful but not a Lambo!

I have a stock LP560-4, no numbness here! Love that beast! Modifying the hell of out it (all cosmetics)!

More numbness than a tank of nitrous

Seriously, there have been some good suggestions made for a $130k budget

GT2 and GT3 RS

New Viper....which will be WAY over sticker for awhile

ZR-1

I think the R8 is softer than the OP may want

Then you could go more exotic with a Diablo or early Murcielago....yum, yum
