We took a look around our shop the other day, and thought it would be a great opportunity to show everyone some of our upcoming projects. With the exception of the Arancio Borealis Gallardo on ADV.1’s (here for maintenance work), all the other Gallardo’s shown are in the shop to have us install twin turbo systems. The builds range from a Stage 1 bolt-on system, and go all the way to the Stage 3R package, which makes over 1500whp with our built motor. We will post more pictures in the coming weeks, but we are thankful to come from such humble beginnings a few years ago as a small shop, to working in our new 15,000 sq. ft. facility on what we believe to be the best platform on the market.
If you are interested in having us build your car, please don't hesitate to give us a call, email us, or send us a private message. We would be happy to go over your options and put together a no compromise package to meet your needs. We use only the highest quality components available on the market, and all fabrication, wiring, and assembly is done in house (aside from block and sleeve machining) to ensure your complete satisfaction.
Enough talking, now here's the good stuff.
The McLaren wanted to be in the photos also (and it’s twin turbo, so who are we to say no?)
Amazing shop! It's always a lovely sight to see so many Lamborghinis in one place.
Just out of curiosity, what are the 0-62 and/or quarter mile times like for the different builds?
So far, we've ran a 4.43 second 60-130mph in our shop car, on it's stage 1 build, although it was turned up quite a bit more than our customer builds. We will try and get some 60-130 times on some other builds when we have time. A copy of the vbox of the 4.43 is shown below. We should have some 1/4 mile times when the local tracks open up again next year.
Hey Taylor! I'm going to be in Austin for the motogp and to meet up with a customer to do a shoot on his car, I'd love to swing by and meet you and the boys, put some faces to the voices on the phone haha.
I love to see where you started and to where you are now. That is amazing. Keep up the good work.
David, good luck with the loaner....
Seeing pictures like this makes me want to get a Gallardo now.... R8 is fun, but it is no Gallardo They look like jet fighters to me. Freaking @##%@#%^@#%#@
Now, as perfect as it is, something important is missing!
Where are the drip pans to protect the cars under the hoists when not being worked on? Or covers? I would prefer my car on the hoist, not below it. These cars leak!
Good point, and we usually don't park them under each other, but did for this photo, as what you see is only about half of our shop. While the cars await different stages of disassembly/assembly, they are moved back and forth from our standby area. I probably should have put a disclaimer that no Lamborghini's were harmed in the production of these photos (and our detailer made sure of that)
I will have to talk with Taylor and see where the file is (the run was made in April). There was a -0.20 slope per the website admin that verified the file, to set the record for the site's 60-130 list.
That is impressive. You guys are pushing the envelope out there. I like it! Looks good all the way from Atlanta. How much boost and hp you think you had on that run?
On your stage 1 builds are you doing stock ECU or stand alones on the LPs? Upgraded fuel system or stock?
Great questions duhawks. We were probably making around 12psi for that run, and we've made over 1050rwhp at that boost level before on E85 pump gas. Here is a video featuring the car, as well as a couple of dyno pulls and graphs, and some fun we had at a local airfield event. Please keep in mind, we do not recommend anyone turning their car up to 12psi on a stock motor.
As far as the ECU in our system, we only use MoTeC, as we believe it to be the best system on the market. We don't feel that engine management is an area where any shop should try to save money, so regardless if it's our Stage 1 bolt-on kit or our full race package, they all use MoTeC.
Our fuel system was designed and built in house, and incorporates twin custom billet fuel hangers, 4 fuel pumps, and 10 secondary injectors (in addition to the stock injectors). You will notice that our Stage 1 kit supported over 1050rwhp on E85 pump gas, which requires around 35% more fuel than C16. This same fuel system has also supported upwards of 1250rwhp on E85. Talk about over-engineered!
You need a better tire then! There should be no tire spin on a mostly stock Gallardo. Heck even at 700+whp I had zero tire spin in my Gallardo with Nitto Invo tires.
Yeah would be interesting for me to hear the G-Forces under acceleration. Horsepower and torque are all well and good, but the peak G-Force when doing 0-60 is THE REFERENCE to me. BTW, I use the Bugatti Veyron´s 1.6 G for reference.
I consider it once a week. What holds me back is that the lp-560 is my all time favorite sounding car.
Go on a cruise around town with my son, and downtown, surrounded by tall buildings, roll the windows down and the car literally fills the street with noise, even accelerating gently. It sounds gorgeous at all speeds and throttle settings, except that pitter pattery idle. Just driving to dinner, at 3000 rpm, get on the gas and suddenly the car makes noise, let off and its quiet again. More time must have gone into the sound of that car than all but a tiny few other cars ever made. Its awesome! I honestly couldn't like the F430 I bought after I owned an LP-560 because it just didn't sound as good (among other things, and including some things the Ferrari did better).
I'd worry that I'd have a crazy fast car that lacked the musical delicacy of the LP-560s sound. Not that its always delicate, mind you. But its epic, that sound, and I fear losing it. Otherwise I'd drop the $40k in a heartbeat and get it done.
The aural pleasure of the Lamborghini is one of the most remarkable aspects of owning one in my opinion. We feel that the turbos actually enhance that experience, with the whistle that accompanies the turbos spooling, ending in the climax of the blow off valves releasing the pressurized air when the throttle is lifted. Taylor enjoys driving his around downtown Dallas, and listening to it echo off of the buildings, while often tipping into throttle just to hear the turbos spool. If you have never had the opportunity to listen to a Twin Turbo Gallardo or ride in one yourself dreamcars99, don’t deny yourself that pleasure.
