Default Where to buy used engines?

I have a customer who has the unfortunate luck to have had an engine failure. He would like to replace it with original factory equipment but the quote from his local dealer was a tad higher than expected.

Is there a good source for used engines?

Thanks for your time,
Dylan @ DS1

Don't you think it would be a REALLY GOOD idea to tell what car you need an engine for.
I have a new Chev V8 sitting here for a very good price, BUT I do not believe that is what you are looking for, but you never know.

I don't know the details of how it happened, but it has a rod through the block.

That may be a very expensive proposition...Scotti in Montreal had one about a year ago for $ 62 K Canadian, and there was one floating around in the New York area for around
$ 50K.

I would consider repairing the current motor

My cost on a new block is $39,500 usd

He is looking to repair it and then sell the car. Even though he wants it repaired properly he would like to save as much money from the endeavor as possible.

Thanks for the link
