Reasonable minds can disagree. I see the designs as quite similar (roof line, side window design, side air intake and front end) and have always felt that the Gallardo was uninspired and Fiatesque ( a Lambo salesperson actually tried to sell me one after deeming it "cute") . I see the Saleen as vastly better although I question its originality.

I don't like this car at all. For one it looks like a car from a video game that could not get the licensing for real cars. Secondly there is nothing american about the design. It looks too Italian. They are moving too far from there roots on this one.

I thought the same thing, except I think it looks more Japanese than Italian.


Also, I see it more as an exploration of curves, whereas the Gallardo is an exercise of angles.

I agree on the 'Japanese' thing. The Gallardo is twice as elegant IMO.

The Gallardo is perfect the way it is. That has too much of a Japanese look, not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's not a Japanese supercar...
