As a side note, my OEM HID turns off when I hit a pothole. This is another reason why I am looking for the upgrade. The brighter lighting is an added bonus!

your ballast is going bad or you have a poor connection. either way, the ballast and harness to the bulb is one piece and needs to be changed.

get a new ballast or upgrade the bulb also as a set.
