Such environment conscious US market (sarcastically) is the biggest market for Lambo spa thus, I hardly doubt the techs at santagata will let their vehicle breathe better. other than such simple way of raising the output, the only way to na tune the car is to rebuild the motor with reinforced, lighter cams, valves, head, cylinder coating to sustain increased compression ratio. I feel the motor already has high compression ratio with very high redline considering its displacement. Unlike the other comparable v10 motors, the strokes are not short and the combustion chambers are quite square(not over squared). Such modifications on low volume production motor are not efficient in terms of cost vs conc; at least in my opinion. I think the change in gear ratio has been enough to compensate the 'slower' acceleration. Upfront, na tuning is much more costly than using forced induction, although i much prefer na tuning due to its revebility and faster dropping of rpm needle. Besides, i think na motors are always more fun than the forced induction tuned motors. IMO, by any means a awd v10 G is no overweight, but weight reduction is probably a better solution than just further increasing the output. A few hp gain will probably only be accessible at high rpm if not on the redline, with not too much change in the whole output curve; IF the increase ever happens, which i hardly doubt.

Very well said, excellent post.

I don't think you're being a fuddy, buddy. But really, just give them time to grow up. (Though some never do). Anyway, I used to do the same thing when I was a kid, now that I'm in my - ahem - late 20's, I already see the folly of my perspective during that time. Lord, what will it be like when I'm in my late 30's?!

Alambo is a 2nd level supercar????

That is a brilliant idea. The Lamborghini Ferrucio. Very limited production (a lot less than the Enzo, and slightly more expensive). 700 BHP sounds good, and of course it would have to look like it was made by God himself...
Sh*t, my alarm clock just went off.

i don't think lamborghini needs to make anything more exclusive or in need of more horsepower. For exclusivity, you have the versace edition or the gtr version. All they need is some weight reduction which would benefit the vehicle in overall performance, rather increasing the displacement for more absurd punch. I would not consider a v-12 or v10 car with awd lamborghini to be excessively overweight, however, in comparison to the aforementioned competetitors, the bulls need to shed some weight. With a couple hundred pounds shed, and keener steering without too much understeer, the murcie will harrass the enzo or carrera gt without the 700+ hps.

Absolutely agree.

Except I hate the "Versace" editions, I consider them tacky.
Shedding weight is the one thing Lamborghini has to improve on. More power is always great, but not without the weight loss and suspension/handling revisions/upgrades. Power is not everything.

I love the awd, one of my favorite things about the Lambo's.

Maybe close to the Enzo or Carrerea GT in speed but, not on anything else.
