Folks, I am desperate and need your expert opinion. Sorry for the long post.
I bought a 2006 Gallardo over 2 years ago, it came with beautiful 20" HRE wheels and Pirelli tires with 235x30x20 on front and 305x25x20 in rear. last month, I took my Gallardo to Lamborghini dealership to repair the electric windows, while the car was in their shop, they scratch the front passenger wheel and damaged the tire. They painted the rim but didn't replace the tire. I took it to Discount Tire and put a new tire on it, however, the car started to pull to the left slightly. I ordered exact same Pirelli tires from Tire Rack and took to the Lamborghini dealership to have it mounted on the front driver side. When I got the car back it pulled severely to the left and stepping on the gas pedal caused the car to jerk to the left even more. I took it back and had them check alignment, they said everything is within spec. Lamborghini dealership supposedly called HRE Wheels and was told that these 20 inch rims aren’t designed for the Gallardo. I am confused as I had the car for more than 2 years and never had any issues, I replaced all 4 tires about a year ago without any problems. I also noticed there is damage under the front bumper/spoiler, broken plastic and scuffs. Although I LOVE these rims and hate to give them up, I started looking at ebay for used Gallardo wheels and other 19” rims, I found a few. Before I order them, I want to ask you if you have any suggestions. Last edited by Mfar; 01-28-2013 at 11:29 AM. Reason: Update Title |

did the dealer run the car into a curb or something and then damage the front diff or bent a suspension? i would have a look of the suspension while the car is on a lift. or have them do it if you trust them.
something is not right and I don't think it's your tire/wheel. your tire size is correct for a 20" setup. it's your suspension, steering rack or front diff. if you don't trust the dealer, go to another high end shop and have them inspect it. |

djantlive, thanks for your reply!
When I got the car back after they repair the scratch on the wheel , a chunk of rubber was missing from the front passenger tire. I drove it and it was fine, no pulling. I took it to Discount Tire and they said it is not safe to drive with rubber missing from the side wall. Pulling started after I replaced that tire in Discount Tire and then it got really bad after a new tire was put on front driver side by the dealer. So, I think the front end is fine. But I agree with you about having another shop check it out. I just took the car to the independent dealer who sold me the car, he specializes in exotic cars and has a shop in his dealership. |

it takes a big impact for a sidewall to be chipped off. they ran the car into a curb or hit a big pothole during a test drive. this dealer sounds sketchy to me. i would not be surprised that they did some joy rides during lunch. check the bottom of your front and back bumpers for any cracks and scrapes too. |

I took the car to another shop that work on exotic cars. The alignment was horribly off. After they made the adjustment, the car now drives fine. I also noticed minor damage under the front spoiler, the clear bra is scuffed up and small bracket is broken. I think, as few others suggested on this post, someone at the Lamborghini dealership must have done some joy rides during lunch, ran the car into a curb or hit a big pothole.
The sad thing is, my car did not require test drive as it was there for electric window repair. When I asked, service manager told me the wheel got scratched when he tried to drive into the car wash bay, which is ridicules excuse. Take a a look at the tire, it took a big hit. I am frustrated, the service manager doesn't have enough integrity to admit to it. He also insisted that there was nothing wrong with alignment. This mess took over 2 months and cost me about $1,100 for 2 new tires and alignment. I am trying to figure out if I should contact AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI in North America and report this dealer? what do you guys think? Last edited by Mfar; 01-26-2013 at 06:40 PM. Reason: Update |

Yes,call Lambo immediately. You should have done this as soon as you noticed the car was crashed! And YES, it was crashed to do that much tire damage. And call your insurance and report the dealer to the, so that they go after the dealer for compensation. May be too late, and your penalty is the time and money you spent so far since claims should be done right away.Who is this dealer? I want to add them to our HUGE dealer "wall of shame". Shame 'em and name 'em! Almost every dealer in North America, minus a few, qualify. Sad. I feel bad that this happened to you. Any pro bono lawyers on this thread?
