Nothing wrong with seeing the car yourself.

Depending on how you get your manual clutch done, the cost can be as little as $3-4k to as much as $14k.

If you do it yourself with OEM clutch and LP throw out bearing: $3-4K

Pay Lamborghini to do it with a fancy Kevlar setup: $14k.

did a ppi on mine, they said the car was solid. within first 5 days the pressure plate totally failed, took out the clutch and the t/o bearing. the ppi also missed the fact that the car had been repaired in the rear previously (and very poorly).. i have spent $40K getting this car to the condition i wanted .. long story short, go inspect the car yourself and don't rely on any ppi 100% , nothing better than your own eyes and ears.

Thanks mikeearle, I will be able to drive the car I am possibly buying, anything in particular I should pay attention to and/or feel for? It's a manual car and I am not a mechanic or can't spot an accident fix. Althought the carfax is a clean 2 owner.

i have an e-gear so not likely the best authority on the manual but the typical comes to mind, engagement position of the pedal, any detection of slipping in 6th ... accident damage.. look in and around the wheel wells for any damage to the liner, front and rear bumpers, look from underneath the car for any evidence of body repair. carfax really never tells the tale. as other have noted here, many accidents and damage on these cars is fixed outside of insurance to avoid any indication on the carfax. start the car from cold and listen for any 'hunting' in the idle and test every electrical option on the car .. Drive he car and see if it pulls to one side or the other to see about alignment and any indication of issues there. PUll the wheels and check for brake wear. note any pulsating of the brake pedal to see if any issues with rotor wear and warping. again i know others can add to this but those are some simple and effective places to begin.

Then pull records from F of NH, or go back further. U can trace the history unless it was an auction car. Any Lambo dealers that have touched it will have service records.

You would be surprised what you can find by just googling the vin. Also I agree that I would not buy a extic without driving it yourself. Things can masked with photos. I would also try to get the PPI done by a Lambo dealer if possible.

Was just coming to tell you my car is for sale and I'm right down the street from you in Palm Beach Gardens but I see you already pulled the trigger. Congrats!
