Default SL side skirts install???

Have any of you guys ever installed the SL side skirts yourselves on your own car? Do you need to remove the side skirt and drill holes for them to bolt on? Thanks

I plan to do this myself.

From what I gathered, there are no "uninstall" of anything. There are some screws on our current Gallardos that we will use to screw the side skirts on. The holes on the side skirts line up with our existing holes.

It's all plug and play!

Its not a plug and play. Those screws that are already on the car is not for the SL add on. You will have to drill holes into the side skirts. Then when the screws are in place you will have to take a "HEX.HEAD CLAMPING" from the inner part of the side skirts and bolt them down.

Hmmmmm.......I hope not. From what i've been told, (including the info from Dhillon, from whom I purchased the side skirts), you use the existing hardware, with no need for modification of skirts or bodywork. I haven't had a chance to do a trial fit yet, but hope to have some time this week. Will keep you all posted!

Keep us updated. Also if you can take a pic of both sides of the side skirts and post a pic.

John:

I spoke with multiple G owners who installed their side skirts...they all have said that you use the preexisting screws and holes. No new screws required?!

If you get the right side skirts (OEM, RSC, etc), the holes on the side skirts are already drilled.

I know you're trying to get these side skirts as items for your shop to sell, so make sure the ones your order to be manufactured have pre-drilled holes that line up with existing screw holes under our cars!

Good luck.

That's what I was told also. All pre-existing screws and holes = plug-N-play!
