well before i got greedy, i put 10k in an investment that paid me close to $1000 per Month. If i had followed this investment, i woudve made twice as much. so if i went on margin back then (last year) and put down, 20k, at a 2k return every month $42768.57 is what I COULDVE had at year end in interest alone!! now for u lambo owners that not a lot ( the principle) but that kinda money for an 18 y/o, that is. well assuming u put the $100000 in a similar investment would over 10k a month! not bad for doing nothing!!

...im still kicking myself for it

Hi Tommy-

Thanks for your response. Everything you say makes sense, and to me as someone who's responsible with my finances (on everything except this burgeoning car purchase!) I understand that it's up to the individual to decide.

BTW, once I buy my Gallardo, it will be to DRIVE IT! I'm not one to worry about depreciation per mile...I worry about entertainment & enjoyment per mile. I could never own an exotic and have it sit in my garage. I'm buying one to drive, enjoy and appreciate, knowing full well it's not an "investment" in the true sense of the word...it's an investment in my happiness. I've subscribed to Road & Track since I was 11 years old. I'm a car guy. 'Nuff said.

Anyway, thanks again. Look forward to learning from you guys on the forum. I want to make it out to a Lambo group meeting at some point to see them more up close, and since I live in So Cal, it shouldn't be a problem I hope!

Lots of Lambo guys in So Cal so you should be able to find events. Cars often show up at the Fashion Island valet parking area on weekends. I'd also check out the cars and coffee events in LA. The dealers will sometimes say when they are having a drive planned and it's fun to watch a start or finish.
