Question Playing MP3 from SD Memory Card

Hey guys,

I have a 07 spyder with a nav system and want to play MP3 from SD Cards

Does anyone know the requirements to do that ?

I tried today with an 8GB SDHC card and it didnt work.

The system says "Memory Slot 1 LOADING" and stays on that status forever...

There are some threads about this.

"SDHC" cards does *not* work. They need to be "SD" cards.
They are normally sold with a max of 2 Gb but there exist some with 4 GB.

won't work..8GB are all SDHC. you need SDSC (usually 2GB or below) for non-LPs.

To be complete, for LP cars or atleast the 2012 you can use SDHC cards which are usually 4GB and higher. The SD cards are formated in FAT16 while the SDHC cards have a FAT32 format.

One interesting point I discovered is that the 2012 manual is up to date and shows that the system supports FAT16 or FAT32. But when you pull out the LAMBORGHINI MULTIMEDIA BOOK that comes with the car, this was printed in 2006 and states that you can only use FAT16 formats. I guess they havent updated the multimedia book for the newer cars.

Even on my 09 LP, a 2 GB card is all that will work.

You can try E-bay, but it will be like trying to find a Commodore 64.

If your music won't fit on 2 2GB cards, just get a bunch of the 2GB's and keep them in your ashtry, and swap them out...

Wonder if that is due to hardware or software updates.
