I have seen the Arianco borealis e-gear plate for 800.00, but what about powder coating/painting the original e-gear plate? Is it doable? I don't want to spend a grand on a plate.

You can get a CF plate for $475, but if you doing it to add color that won't help much. I was going to get the yellow one which was about $1100, and opted for the CF instead.

I have a yellow OEM one. The previous owner bought it so it was already in the car...didn't know it was that much!?

Also surprised that CF one is cheaper than my yellow one? I believe that if you have a CF e-gear panel, than the CF e-gear plate maybe too much CF.
