I am in India and it cost me a substantial sum to get it couriered here which was delayed as after their commitment the bumper "suddenly" was unavailable. But, as we all know, the hope that my gallardo superleggera will start looking like the superleggera was enough to keep me calm.
BUT i was in for a shock of a lifetime.
When the car was given to the lamborghini authorised body shop, and the result of the fitment shown to me- it was a complete disaster! There were "inconsistant" gaps on the sides, front hood area, the grills did not fit the cuttings made for the vent, the side grills were not sent( near the gills). All in all, the car looked as though it has met with a collision. The front hood looked as though someone had left it open.
The dealer informed me that the part was dangerous as it does not have the structure it may be dangerous for even on a slight impact.
We took a decision in 10 mins flat that this was eroding the value and presence on my car severely.
On contacting AMH who in turn contacted Ray, they informed me they will not take back the part nor refund any money till they try it back in the US! which meant another $1000 of shippment. And that it could have gotten warped because of some painting procedure, the body shop is not good etc.
I cannot know how they knew this before hand and also whether it is another excuse to not take back the bumper.
All I can say is that I have had a few cars and dealt with many suppliers in the past, this has been one of the most unhappy ones ever!
I am still trying that they must shoulder some ethical resonsibility to supply a terribly made part. Some of the pictures are attached.
This is for all prospective purchasers to be careful.
I cannot believe a word of that!! My front end was an absolute perfect fitment and the service I got, along with the rest of the forum has been nothing short of spectacular. Since, I have order a ton of parts from Renown, all perfect!!!

Uh oh....what are these "certified Lambo techs" doing now?

Please do post pictures because if this OEM 560 bumper does fit 2004-2008 Gs, then that's music to my ears! I do have an used OEM 560 bumper for sale!

I would advise to be careful when filling so much on that LP560 bumper. Any filler or bondo will have shrinkage issues when you are adding more than a 1/8 of an inch.

Not to beat this poor guy to death on this subject, but I saw the bumper in question today at MAC.
It looked liked it was sprayed with rattle cans in someone's garage and I'm not exaggerating. The worst.

I feel for him as he obviously has very limited options apparently as to installers.

havent had the time with the car as I was travelling. Will post pics of the car with the OE bumper which they informed me was far easier to fit as the sides and the gaps were consistant with the fender, the intake openings did not need any work to be carried out. The issue is that thse are the same technicians who have installed successfully the parts from Wald on my '12 GTR, The gt2 front on my 997turbo and have managed to fit the rear light conversion from Ray on the same SL, even though they needed to parelelly connect the lights for error codes in the european version. gtr.jpg

please see attachements. However the basic learning is that an instruction list should come with the part and the expectation should that the part needs special fine tuning.

Never mind the fitting. I never heard you say anything about the paint. I guess you are happy with it???

Kindly let me know if the fundamental issue, in your mind, is paint quality and finish or fitment of the product. Is the paint cost of the bumper $5k or is it for the product. In my case, I try and prioritize the damage and therefore this is not the core issue, for me. Sure, I will take this up as strongly if not more and demonstate the advise that has come from this forum to them. Needless to add, they have not charged me yet.
Even, if I needed to pay them, I am sure they would not profit from a situation like this.
