So...since I was getting some new rear tires for the car, I decided it was also time to lower the car to suit my taste. So I dropped the car off at Josh@ECS's shop and asked him to lower it about an inch all the way around.
When I got the car back, it made such a difference! The stance is just right and just how a proper exotic should look! And I also noticed that it seems to drive better, too, with the lowered center of gravity...I'm pretty in-tune with my car and I noticed it right away. Here's some AFTER PICTURES of the now-lowered Gallardo (Josh said he actually lowered it as far as it could go). Love it! |

Yes, the stock coilovers have adjustable spring perches to tweak the ride height...Josh set the ride height to the lowest it would go. Last edited by LamboGator; 11-12-2010 at 10:10 AM. |

SUV-like height eh? :P
When I make it to somewhere with decent roads I might drop mine just a bit. maybe 1/4 in the front, 1/2 in the back. My front is pretty low but the back has substantially more gap (specs call for 12mm more gap in the back). I don't want to drop it too much in the back because if it's too stiff it can make it twitchy in the corners, and less traction on a launch. |
