In the UK, there's a murcielago with over 250.000 miles... All the rest is just low mileage ;-)

I'd recommend an `07 because there were some hose rerouting changes made to it over the `06, but as far as reliability goes, I had my `04 for 3.5 years with no trouble whatsoever. Ditto for my `07, which I've had for 1.5 years (that sound you hear is me knocking on wood!)

I have yet to see a front light conversion.

And other than I'd like to have LED brake lights, I really like the rear end of my 05.

i think gallardo with over 40k miles are higher mileage. they are still very reliable cars though. condition is more of a factor than mileage as far as reliability is concerned.

if reliability is paramount to you, you should probably consider a porsche or r8. nothing wrong with gallardo but a used 7-8 year old car will need repairs even if it's a normal car.
I'm considering buying the gallardo. Does this mean that I can not drive it much because exotics are more garage queens? So taking it to 50,000 miles is asking for trouble?

I bought mine at 27k miles, currently sitting at 29k for the winter. I expect to put on atleast 10,000 km a year (or 6.2k miles).

As someone pointed out on these forums, a $20,000 civic engine can go to 200k kilometers, but god forbid a $300,000 engine goes anywhere near 60k. Screw em, I bought my car to drive and enjoy.

There's a Murciélago with 258.000 miles in the UK. Just drive it.
