Default Help.. RNS-E retrofit issue

Hey guys.. My 05 Gallardo had the symphony II radio. I purchased a Lamborghini RNS-E unit from a guy on ebay that had a 2007 Spyder with NAV. I then purchased the adapter from Kufatec. I installed everything and radio works. However when I press Navigation, I get a NAVIGATION IS NOT INSTALLED message. I even put the disc in and same message.. Any Idea what is wrong?? thanks

Nav feature is not activated? Did that deck ever have Nav enabled?

Ensure the purple connector is attached and "clipped". What software version are you running ?

Sounds like the navigation is not enabled. I have the tools/software to unlock it. Lamborghini charges $3000 or so for a complete new unit if you want nav.

Had the same issue. The dealer here in CA unlocked it for $300 and you need a disk.

Anyone have a disk I can buy, don't care if it's a copy. I put a 07 disk in the nav unit of my 06 car thinking it would update BUT instead it did some firmware update and now asks for me to insert disk...I think I read some trick with updating the unit with a newer disk but not sure how.

Unfortunately it is not that simple. I am working on a DIY kit right now.
