Has Anyone Changed to Clear Bonnet?

I'm thinking about changing the regular bonnet on my G to a clear bonnet. Has anyone done this and if so, was it difficult or expensive to do? Thanks.

I'd presume the cracking was an isolated incident. I haven't heard of many problems with the transparent bonnet. Nobody's made the change?
