it is completly two different things to compare heritage and overall appeal of a car....if my mom is 50% irish and im the first born from an irish father, and my sis is born from a french father, does she not still have irish heritage? maybe she has a better accent and less violence than me, but does that make her not irish at all (no offense to anyone of any of these nationalities, just the first two that came to mind!! )if you dont like the gallardo, fine, but do it in a way that develops some sort of reason, not merely feruccio said this, or i like that.

Sparro, I have owned the following vehicles:
1984 Countach 5000S, 1977 Clenet 1978 Maserati Kyalami, 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, 1978 Ferrari 308, 1985 Aston Martin Lagonda Jealous of a Gallardo? Look at that list of cars. If anyone is jealous, clearly it would be you. I have driven the Gallardo, or havent you read my posts, and trust me, there is NO jealousy of that car. Before you call someone an idiot, realize how much of an idiot your post will eventually make YOU. |

I've been a member of FChat for about 3 years. The overwhelming majority of people move up from FCar to Lambo, not vice versa. Mostly into Gallerdo. I think it's fair to stay that the G car is responsible for bringing Lambo back to profitability - and for the first time there is a waiting list for orders (spider). The Gallardo is a wonderful car and 100% Italian, or at least as much as Ferrari is Italian. Calling a Lambo an Audi is akin to calling a Ferrari a Fiat, parent company holdings have little to do with build and direction. No flame - just my take on it. BTW - What's in your garage now? |

Okay guys let's just agree to disagree. We need to put this arguement behind us. David, you have the right to have an opinion. If you don't like the Gallardo that is fine, I don't think anyone is going to change your mind. This was just the wrong thread to voice your opinion. You did start a new thread. Let's not start a mud slinging match over who owned what and who is right or wrong. We all love Lamborghinis, period. Let's get back to helping each other out. |

I agree. We are all here for a common reason, we love our Lamborghini's. We each love our own models and years. Who cares what other people think, including you David. Why don't we all treat each other with some respect. I'm thinking most of us are professional and do pretty well or we certainly wouldn't be at the Lamborghini site, so let's act like it!

Hello Chaps,
Oh how I chortle. The fact of the matter is mutual exclusion. One takes one's money and makes a calculated choice.Let me put it this way. I adore the original Fiat 500. Bags of character. Massively endearing. But read between the lines and the car is a pile of ****e. But that's not the point. It doesn't matter that the car is ****e at what a car/it is supposed to do. We love it warts and all. I mean mutual exclusion as in quality vs dynamics. Early Lambos have bags of character.But poorly built. That's a given. An '89 3.2 Carrera is an amazing tool. Hewn from granite. But a bit soul-less. 635CSi even worse. But they exude quality. That's what our Arian cousins are known for. i.e. Gallardo.. Put it this way, Fiat are still Fiat. Not VW. The Seicento (great grandson of orig 500) is still a bit crappy. But has the definable Italian flavour. Squeeks,rattles but fun. A VW Lupo is sterile. BUT, When a German has bought an Italian Supercar maker you end up with a Gallardo. Fanastic machine. But when you breed out the imperfections you breed out the soul. I think that is everyones point. Fantastic car. But the Uber race oozing out of every pore. The 355 was crap built. The 430 seems to be leap forwards. But I bet it dont stand up to Lambo,Skoda,Bentley,Seat,Bugatti and VW quality. But for daily driving go G car. If you can afford the odd clutch or two, Seems the Germans missed some Eyetye DNA deep down somewhere. Now gentlemen, is that good or bad? |

Hey Dave;
It's fine not to like a car. You can state your opinion on any car. But when I guy makes a post to let us know that he got rid of an incredible car for one that is that much more incredible you bash his very expensive car. For that you are and still are an idiot. IMHO all the cars you listed are pieces of S**t. And you did say you owned them in the past, whats in your garage now. Not that it means anything anyway, you can say you got just about anything. You are the one that should think before posting... ![]() |
