I don't care what car it is; the feeling of a car with 5 miles on the OD is a great feeling. Did you ever rent a car and the OD says 20 miles? I love it. If it happens to be an exotic...WOW! TOO MANY, including myself, like older exotics for many different reasons, but when we purchase them used; the expectation of that new feeling is not there. For some it's a small let down. For me it was. Owning a used exotic is not an easy task. Unless you have gone through the process of owning an older exotic before, you will be surprised with whole experience, especially if your not an enthusiast. You usually expect things to be as they were when car was new...you’d be very surprised when you drive it home. It takes lots of patience and money to keep these cars in a new condition. And the feeling of new I thought was just an illusion. I truly was one of those that wanted that feeling. This is the main reason I restored my car. I wanted that feeling in a Diablo. This is something that will never happen again in the world today unless you do it yourself the way I did it. I almost purchased a G car after I bought my Diablo prior to the restoration for most of what I said. I knew that between what I paid and the cost of the restoration, I could have bought a new G. It would have been a great experience, but I love the Diablo and wanted this new exotic car feeling to come from a Diablo. After the restoration....no illusion here. Now that the dust settled..... how do you compare the GT to the Audi G-car?? Just kidding about the Audi comment, just thought it would be fun to ster things up again. That was the best fight since Buster Douglas cleaned Tyson's clock.

SteelyDave.....very sad pal. A fellow enthusiast posts on this bulletin board letting us know about his happiness with his first Lamborghini, and you rudely and quite inconsiderately slam him and his choice. As my dear old dad told me,...'if you don't have anything good to say.....'! No matter what you have to say on the issue, the Gallardo is proving to be the most popular car ever produced by Lamborghini. It IS Italian, as I was at the factory, IN ITALY, and it was being put together, BY ITALIANS. It doesn't LOOK german, (in profile, it is probably the most beautiful car on the road), and it drives like it eats Ferraris for lunch. If you want to rant on about how only the 'original' Lambos are the only 'legitimate' Lambos...well, enjoy your little fantasy world. The introduction of better engineering methods and improved systems can only enhance the long-term viability of the marque. I wouldn't have bought an earlier Lambo because I didn't want to deal with the painful and expensive ongoing maintenance issues. The 'new' Lamborghini is better for the investment in it...regardless of where it comes from. Lamborghini will ALWAYS be italian. Leave the happy little new owners alone in their joy...ok?
