This thread is simply my curiousity.
I'm curious as to if anyone on here has owned an R8 and a Gallardo. If so (or if you've driven both), how do the two compare (particularly the R8 V10) and if the R8 is supposedly the "best exotic daily-driver," how does the Gallardo suit as a DD? |

For a long time, the R8 was a car I wanted. I just recently changed my mind because no one can tell you paid a 180K for it. When people see it (except for a few), they think it's just a regular audi like the rest. I'm the type of person that if I pay over 100 grand for a car, people should know the instant they look at it, regardless if they know absolutely nothing about cars.

I've owned both. R8 is a better all around car i.m.o. And nobody sees an R8 and thinks it looks like a regular car in the Audi line up. I currently own a Ferrari Scuderia, and could even say I could see myself owning an R8 again one day!

The R8 is a great car and good looking as well but I also think the best way to get your answer is to drive both for more than 5 minutes . I guarantee you will know right away. Comparing cars on the internet or in car lot won't cut it. Now if you need a more "practical" car then for sure the R8 is better but so is a Bentley GT or Nissan GT-R or GT3... IMO the cool thing about a true exotic is that is visceral rare and impractical it's all part of the experience. Shopping/deciding is part of the fun
