You can try this first, if not, get new batteries for the remotes, and try this again.
Put key in ignition, turn to 'on' with engine off. Press the lock and unlock buttons a couple of times each. Turn ignition off. Close door and try the lock and unlock buttons. They should work. Do it for each remote. If not. New batteries. |

Are we to assume that by "immobilizer" you are referring to the OEM car alarm, and not some aftermarket add-on alarm? Just clarifying....
Is it possible that the seat or seatbelt is pressing on one of the car alarm buttons behind the seat? Press each button, and make sure it is not stuck the pressed position. Just guessing on the solution to your problem, but let me know if that makes a difference.
