Default Gallardo - Lotus Else ?

Greetings, New to the forum.
Almost by chance went to look at a 2004 Gallardo earlier this week. Currently have a Lotus Elise that we have a riot driving, and the Gallardo is very interesting.

Anyone here have some thoughts or comments about the Gallardo and how it would handle and corner compared to a Elise? I do understand the H.P. difference. I haven't driven a Gallardo, but my wife thought it was cute.... cute is 1/2 the battle.
Thanks
C3

Default Gallardo/Lotus

I had a Lotus Esprit and Roy sold me a Gallardo which I loved the hell out of. If your wife likes the way it looks she will LOVE the way it drives, mine did. Very easy car to handle and throw around. It comes highly recomended by my wife and I. Any questions about Lambos and what to buy for the right price try Roy Cats 1-866-Lamborghini. Good luck.

Referring to Automobile magazine, the Elise is rated the best handling car regardless of price in the world.... With that said it certainly is a fun car to drive especially with the after-market exhaust, but you can't compare it to a supercar like the Gallardo! Horsepower aside, the whole package of the Lamborghini is just superb and superior and worth all the extra money!!!

no comparison. as sensational and sublime as the gallardo is, getting in one after blasting around in an elise gives you a feeling of aloofness from the road. one is a supercar, the other is a cat stung by a wasp.

if it was mostly inner-city and tight-twisty-hilly driving i was doing, i'd go for an elise, if it were longer b-roads with sweepers and some distances to travel, the G is unbeatable.

impressions mostly from pax seat, fwiw.

Default lotus vs g car

Think of the reliability of the lotus and it should answer your question
