Default Gallardo Has Arrived

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share these pics of the new to me 09. She's in fantastic shape. Only one question: How do you folks hook up your battery tenders? On my Viper the 12v socket was not switched and I could plug it in there. No joy with the 12V on the rear console here. Any ideas?

Thanks
Cincy

I always just attach the battery tender directly to the battery in the front.

Oh, and congrats on the car. It's looks amazing.

Mine's an 06, maybe different, but there's a panel at the back of the boot in the front, and if you use a quarter to unscrew that panel by turning each plastic screw 1/4 turn, you will have access to the battery tender, which has a regular 3-prong plug hanging there. Plug it in to an extension cord and forget about it.

Yours may be different.

My 2009 has access to the battery through the panel on the back wall of the boot. Hubby hooked up a tender line directly to battery posts (you have to remove the red plastic "post" cover first).

It's a bit of a pain but worth it.

Congrats - it's a beauty!!! Enjoy

Enjoy your new toy! Get ready to spend more $ on mods!

Looks like the previous owner already did:

- blacked out side markers
- blacked out tail lights
- blacked out exhaust tips (painted, powder coated, or ceramic switch?)

All great changes!

Sweet! Looks a lot like my car, silver and blacked out. except mine is an 05... I like the updated LP rear a lot.

I just hooked up a trickle charger to my car this weekend. Ill take pics tonight an see if I can post them. It is pretty simple.
