Does anyone know the specifics of why Gallardos aren't allowed to be delivered for a few days?

there's been a recent recall on the a-arms and so if your are awaitng delivery and they delayed it, it is probably because they are replacing the a-arm at the dealership

Is that a big deal or is it that the parts are all backordered and what not?

I'm trying to figure out if the delay will push back my shipment date for gumball.

when is gumball? our gallardo goes in tommorrow...it will probably take a week or two to get the parts and then install. if you are simply awaiting shipping, I'm sure they just have to do the install and then ship out. Call your dealer and have them put your car on the top of the install priority list.
