Could someone put the storage space into perspective on how big it really is? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2004 Gallardo Silver/Black. I guess the color combo is "understated" for a Lambo, but the styling alone makes the car stand out. I drive the car frequently, in traffic, to the bank, grocery store, health club, etc, and drive it to and from the track for track events. The beauty of this car is the stunning Italian styling combined with bullet proof German engineering and build quality.

There is not much room for brief cases, etc. in the passenger area, but it is easy to open the front luggage compartment to store a few small things. I have never had a problem getting groceries and a briefcase in the luggage area.

I would recommend the E-Gear over the manual if you intend to drive in traffic. It is much easier and less brain damage using the E-Gear versus the manual.

I drove the car extensively in the heat 90+F/humidity of the Washington, DC area this past summer and had no overheating or even running hot. You should have no problems with the temps in the LA area. I have driven other exotics through the Death Valley area, and I am confident the Gallardo would handle that drive with ease.

The newer Lamborghinis are totally different from the cars of the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. These things are incredibly well built and durable. They are made to go fast for long distances, and will easily handle pretty much anything within reason that you can dish out. I have driven the ### out of my 2004 and have had no problems.

Buy the car to enjoy it, the people who really loose are the ones who buy these great cars and then are afraid of putting miles on them, so they never really get to enjoy them.

I obviously love these cars. As a further testament to how great I think they are, I purchased a second Gallardo in October, a Black 2008 Superleggera, and have also kept the 2004. Am also very seriously considering a new Gallardo Spider as well.

These cars are still a well kept secret, great all around value for the money.

I would expect that you can easily put 15,000 miles per year on the car with no major problems.

I hope this helps answer your questions.

I'm in the market for a G myself and plan to drive it not let it sit like most people. Do dealers offer extended warranty for Gallardo?

I said that too until I owned it

If I lived in a more remote area or an area where exotics were seen alot more often I would drive it everywhere. Until then...

No, and if they do it's most likely a scam.

Lambo is the car to impress people. Better than Bentley, better than Maybach and better than Porsche period. Even better than Ferrari IMO.

I always wanted to be in control of everything and this goes to driving as well. That being said, even if I could afford to have a driver on Maybach, I do not want to ride on the back seat. And definitely, I do not want to drive a Maybach.....I do not want to look like a chauffeur. Therefore, a Lamborghini will be my choice. And again, this is my opinion and my choice.

My (female) CFP drives a Corvette which I thought showed a certain panache but I was far more impressed with the fact that the car was a clean 10 year old model . Flash and ostentation in a CFP is like an overweight MD. Oxymoronic and not in a good way
