You might want to consider other option for laser jamming. K-40's are not the best available. Check out Laser Interceptors of Laser Park Pro's. There are some of the best available on the market.

But... I know that in the Murci there's a big problem to take the wire from the front bumper inside the cockpit !
All cars wires are closed with a lot of silycon , so I think you must remove the front bumper ......
it's an 8hrs work !!!!!

Have had K40 on my porsche for 2-3 years and was never really happy w/ it. Against my better judgement tried getting a newer model k40 for the G. It had all sorts of problem syncing up. After 5th trip to the dealer and multiple replaced k40 parts , the k40 was removed and a Passport 9500ci (MUUUUUUCH HAPPIER).

To me worst part about the k40 is it's lack of configurability. Not to mention the jury is still out there on weather or not the Laser jammers actually work. I can tell you that the Passport picks up a lot more "laser" signals than the k40 in my porsche does.

Honestly, get the passport. Gps enabled red light camera warning... plus you can set it up to always show a digital read out of your speed. Very usefull for us 21st century guys.

If it were my money i would get the 9500ci hands down. I have even considered pulling the k40 out of the porsche and replacing it w/ a 9500ci. I absolutely love the 9500ci, the only I would change if i could is that it only has a front radar detection module (not a seperate one for front and rear). It does have front and rear laser though.

Check out PhotoStopper also. It is just as good, and cost s less. See here. These guys are huge, have been around forever, and make a ton of anti-radar stuff like sprays and license plate covers.

ONTRACK Automotive - Manufacturer of Anti Radar & Anti Laser Products.

I hear good things about Escort Passport setups, and a lot of local guys use them along with the covers or sprays.

Default K-40 built in

I've got the K-40 front & rear built into a 07 G Spyder. Works excellent, looks great & very pleased. Talks to you, or you can switch to a 'tone' alert to tell you if the radar is front or rear. Two small blue lights in the dash also light up telling you if its front or rear.

V1 is great, but the others may be equal in some areas.

I don't have any experience with the k40 but I have used the Passport SRX and the newer 9500ci units. they work impressively well! I have the 9500ci installed in my 08 Gallardo Superleggera and its fantastic to drive by the highway patrol while they stare at there useless "guns" with confused looks on their faces. Make sure you go into the program menu to activate the laser shifters. Very cool stuff and said to be 94% effective.
