clutch problems on gallardo?

Im looking at buying a 2004 manual gallardo, I have read tons of bad press re the clutches only lasting 2- 5,000 miles, is this true?

I have 22,000 miles on my 04 Gallardo now, and clutch is like brand new. I think it is how people drive the car....you can NOT ride the clutch, for any reason. You start fairly fast, and don't put yourself in stop and go traffic---If this happens accidentally, you use neutral and coasting for slow speed forward movement...and you wait and then dart forward.
