Guys,

I just got this LP-550 last week and yesterday I noticed "click clack" sounds coming while driving at low speeds especially when I turn the steering wheel towards the right it gets worse. First I thought something was caught under the car and was hitting the ground but that doesn't seem to be the issue.

I know it is hard to tell without seeing it but do you guys have any ideas as to what it could be?

I'm going to take the car in to the local dealer tomorrow but I won't be able to sleep with this issue!

I always suspect rocks stuck in the tire tread first and foremost. The rubber is so soft, it will pick up anything. I've also seen screws/nails do this when they're first picked up. After a while the heads wear off and the noise goes away.

possibly a CV (assuming it is an lp-550-4)? Does it make the noise only when you are turning?

I agree with Josh. Sounds like your tire "picked up" something. I would check the tire treads thoroughly before taking it into the dealer.

What makes me believe that it may be something in the tire is when I am driving on a smooth surface like polished concrete the car makes no noises but on raw concrete it is the worst.

I heard same noise on same car and look who hitched the ride?

yeah so that's what happens when you read these too quickly, had 560 stuck in my head. hopefully it is just a nail in the tire.
