with the cd changer, i would take longer. without it, it's a cinch even if you are doing it for the first time. i have taken mine out about 4-5 times. very easy.
the advice given about how to put the rubber weather stripping is dead on. as with every DIY job, keep the parts the way you removed them. good general practice that makes reassembly easier. |

Answer to the weatherstrip replacement, and I have done this a dozen times.
Go get some weatherstrip conditioner, aka weatherstrip silicone available in a brush-on bottle from any Gm dealer. Rub on inside of weatherstrip. Or use a silicone spray designed for moldings. Do NOT use WD40 or other lubes, as these will eat the weatherstrip. It just then glides back into place. Without it, it sticks on the metal and plastic, and is very difficult to put back on.
