Just got back from a test drive of an '04 Caelum Blue. The color looks much different in person than from pictures I had seen. It seems to change in sunlight depending on what angle you are looking at. I almost felt like it looked purple in the sunlight from some angles. Any opinions on this color? I like it but I definitely don't want a purple lambo. Would anyone mistake it for purple?

I've never perceived it as purple. I was on a run with one a couple weeks ago and it certainly didn't look purple. It's definitely one of those colours that changes shade. Personally I find it a slightly strange colour on a Lambo, but the colour itself is very nice and quite unique. The car I was with had some chrome wheels... Argh I can't think of the make, the one with the swiss emblem on them, lots of straight straight spokes. I'm anti chrome, but his looked classy and worked great with the paint.

I dont think Ive ever thought of it as purple. If you really like the car with that color, who cares what other might think or say. I would much rather be driving THAT purple lambo vs driving a geo prizm. (not trying to hate on the geo haha)

never thought of it as purple. more dark blue. i think it's a rare color that looks legit. it wouldn't be my choice of color but it's not bad by any means. diablo also had this color choice i think.

Yes! HRE, thanks It was bugging the hell out of me. I tried to find them on their website but couldn't find the specific wheels.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with a purple lambo! But seriously, caelum blue doesn't look purple.
