Using a booster pack is not exactly the same as jump starting, although similar in principal.
When you jump start your car off of another car, you are attaching 2 charging systems together, which could possibly interfere with each other.

Attaching a booster pack is the same as adding a second battery. Just hook it up correctly, wait a few minutes for your cars battery to stop sucking juice from the booster pack (a dead battery sucks current the same as a starting motor does), and then start the car. Remove the booster pack.

Take the car for a drive to charge the battery. Contrary to popular belief, a car barely charges the battery at idle, you have to drive it. Half an hour should do the trick.

There is a alternative solution!

Get a second battery, regular 12v car battery. Put into trunk. Buy or make jumpers. Positive to positive, and negative to ground. Now u r not "jumping" with other car's high amperage alternator.
Take out extra battery when done, and keep in apartment on trickle charger when not needed. Get a battery with a carry handle.

No never jumped started my lambo.

On page 210 of my 2006 G-Car manual there is a section on "Starting the engine with Jump leads".

Connect positive Red from boosting car to Positive Red of receiving car.
Then connect Black from boosting car to Black of receiving car.

Start the engine with the boosting battery and let it run at idling speed.
The ignition key will have to be synchronized again.
Start the engine of your car.
If the engine fails to start do not operate the starter for longer than 10 seconds. Wait 30 seconds and try again.
When the engine is running, disconnect the leads in exactly the opposite sequence that was use to connect them.

Charging:On page 187 of my 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Manual it states you can charge the battery while it stays connected to the car.

So if you are worried about a jump start you should get a charger and charge your battery. The manual does not recommend "Fast Charging".

WARNINGS:
The manual contains many other "Warning" that are typical when working with a battery, i.e. wash your hands, wear protect eye goggles, Red to red and black to black, turn off charger when connecting and disconnecting to battery, charge is well ventilated area, etc..

Also, If you check with the maintenance people of your building they probably can show you a place where you can plug in your charger. There are outlets in garages and on the exterior of the buildings.

I jumped my G.

That is how I knew my battery was really dying on me and was telling me it was dying.

I thought the car just turned over kinda sluggish and long as that's what it did for a whole year after buying it.

As soon as I hooked it up to the other car, it turned over SOO fast and started better than ever.

TurboMike had a crazy suggestion to get juice to the battery if you couldn't get in it. Jump the starter any ground point UNDER the car! Great idea if you are caught somewhere like that!

Hooking up a booster pack is the same as buying another battery and linking the 2 together. A booster pack is simply a fully charged 12 v battery. Go to costco or wherever and buy a booster. Hook red to red and black to black. Wait for a few mins and fire up the car. You could hook up 10 - 12 volt batteries in series and not hurt the car. Youre simply adding more cca's. taking the car for a 30 min drive though will not fully charge a dead battery. The best way to charge it is with a floating trickle charger. This will take hours but its the best way to get the battery back to 100%. I deal with batteries every day. We see trucks come in with 8 batteries hooked up in series sometimes. Not sure which battery you have but if its a gel battery or glassmat then its even more important to charge it slowly as they dont like to be fast charged.

Ozzir is correct on everything he says!

There is the shortcut way, and then there is the right way to do this....

Also, maybe its time to buy a better battery. Yours may be weak, and thus dies sooner than normal.

Seriously not answering the root question. Never rely on the alternator to charge your battery fully. If your garage, hopefully it's in a garage, is near an area that gets plenty of sun, being in Texas; buy youself a solar power charger and use that as the battery tender. You could probably find an inexpensive one from Harbour Freight. Hope this helps and gets you thinking outside of the box.

how are you going to keep operating the car without having a battery tender anyways?

driving it at least once per week will keep the battery charged. is there any other way?

Hooking them up in series would net you anywhere from 120 volts DC and 144 volts DC. Hooking the same number in parallel would be fine though.

Just teasing a little, you are right about the idea that hooking up extra batteries hurts nothing.

Oops. I wasnt even thinking about that. Dont EVER hook up batteries in series and then attach your cables. It will fry every electrical component in your car. Lol. Yes. I meant in parallel. Lol. We had a motorhome come in to our shop. The owner had replaced his 4 - 1100 cca batteries but hooked them in series by accident. It literally fried or blew every electrical component in the rv. The bill in our shop was over 20G to repair everything. Ouch.
