Default Automatic Mode on Gallardo

There are times that I am tempted to use the automatic mode on my 2008 Gallardo especially on stop-and-go traffic but decided not to do so because the Lamborghini salesman told me that it will ruin my clutch. Any advise?

Waltlambo. If you are tempted to use AUTO mode, then do so. I think your local Lambo salesman is talking BS, regarding the clutch. Get him to qualify/justify his comments and let us know what he says. Should be interesting.

In any case, I think that after you have used AUTO for a while, you will find that you get frustrated with the gear change points and will revert back to manual selection. Let me know!

Thanks guys. I am heading to the dealer today to pick up my car. I have my wheels painted black. I could ask the service technician about it and will let you know.

Maybe he meant stop and go in general will ruin your clutch

I went to dealer yesterday and asked the service technician about automatic mode. He said it is not advisable to use auto mode when you are in stop and go traffic. If I really want to use auto mode, it is best to use while cruising - say on a long trip.
