I feel that, historically speaking, there will alway be a dividing line that splits the company. The post Audi company with its Murcielago and Gallardo
and the pre Audi company with all those wonderful car like the Diablo, Countach, etc. We have a choice now to buy into the OLD school and/or the new school. There is plenty of excitment to go around.
Maybe Audi didn't put lambo on the map, but they kept them from being taken off of it....and fine, if there are people that want to split this company into two different types, maybe there should be two different forums, old lambo and new lambo....talk....honestly, to everyone his own....most guys here on this forum love lambos and love ladies....i personally am a booty guy, my dad is all about the love jugs....does that mean we dont like the ladies? NO! that means we like them for different reasons, at different stages, wth different alterations, but all are great!!!

get over yoursleves, seriously. you go to the lambo factory, and they are all italian ( with the exception of dominic, but hes a communications director, so who cares)....so to say these cars arent italian IS boderline racist, as italians designed, built, marketed, sold, loved, drove, and delivered all of them....tell Luc or Valentino that they aren't italian and see what they say.

dont care what they say? well thats fine, but stick to the older model threads and dont bash on those who love ALL of what lambo was, is, and will become

Just to keep the record straight, he IS working for Lamborghini, just not head of design. That was one of the stipulations for him working for SEAT.

I AGREE!!!!

So please no name calling or personal assaults!!!

But it is GOOD to see that "The Lambo PASSION" can stir some heated debates.

Personally I'm glad Lamborghini will live, hopefully forever!!!

And come on with the politically correct racism statement. Is that suppose to freeze any further comments for fear of offending someone? I know it's a popular weapon these days, but I'm not going for it.

All my comments are not aimed at any particular car or owners, just the creeping non Italian influence that is sure to continue and expand. I don't like it most do. There's no right or wrong, it's all opinion.
Even though I have part-German heritage and have owned BMWs and Audis (!), I don't feel offended by it, just don't think that it matters what country has influence over the design. Reviewers say that the Carrera GT and McLaren SLR look like Italian cars, there you go.

To defend the Audi-on-the-map remark, I was referring mainly to sales. Clearly, everyone here knew about the company and the cars well before Audi came along. Like Jonathan said, even if they didn't put them on the map in the first place, they sure kept them on it, as Chrysler and Megatech would not have.

I understand both point of views. On one hand, Lamborghini benifited 100% from Audi taking over, in terms of financial help and improvements with faults and modernizing it.
On the other hand if your about patriotism, then its sad.
The thing I like the most is they are working together on this. It could be worse. Audi could have messsed up Lamborghini but they're letting Lamborghini do their own thing over in Italy.

I happen to be one of them. Remember, even founding father Ferruccio said the Diablo was not a Lamborghini. So, is the Gallardo? Clearly not. It is a German vehicle at its core...it is an Audi. Period. You have to look deep into what Ferruccio meant to understand what this is about. It has little or nothing to do with factory location or nameplate, and everything to do with history and soul. Those who haven't experienced the cars that I have will never understand. All of you Countach/Miura/Jarama/Espada/400gt/Jalpa/Silhouette/Islero/350gt/Urraco owners can back me up here. The Lambo's of today aren't bad cars, they are simply sterile (key word). To start up a Countach and go ripping down the highway is such an unbelievable, insane thrill compared to the relatively "cookie-cutter" Gallardo. Remember I've driven them all. In fact, the Murcielago offers not nearly the thrill of the Countach. Hence, the word sterile. The funniest/saddest thing I've heard in a long time was an 11 year old kid asking his dad "Is that the new Nissan"? as he looked at a silver Gallardo parked in a highway rest area. That truly says it all, doesn't it? Please God, make the Italians buy Lambo back.

i agree 10000% its an Audi A10.
