Default Any dealings with Lamborghini Denver?

I'm looking at a couple of cars there, and am thinking of putting in an order for a Spyder.

Are they good guys? Anyone have dealing with them?

I had a great experience with Lamborghini of Las Vegas. They were amazingly patient. If Denver falls through, they would be my next choice.

Default Here is my experience with them.

My experience with Lamborghini Denver has been horrible. I spoke with the Sales Manager, Salem, about ordering a new Spyder. I came down and test drove two cars, egear and 6 speed in order to decide. Then he pushed for me to buy one of the three cars in inventory, none of which were to my liking (silver and black cars, few options). He wanted to do a two car deal with a buy back on a car I would take now. We speced the spyder in person that day, but he did not have prices, and said he would finalize the order and have it ready for me on Saturday. I told him I would come down and sign and give him a check.

Friday, he faxed me the final order sheet with prices. He told me to bring a check down on Saturday, and I said okay, but that I was only buying the Spyder, and not another car. He was very unhappy with that.

He told me that "that took the lustre off the deal, only selling one car, and that he might not have sold me the spyder if he knew that in advance." He said he could sell the car out of market for more money. In the end he did say he would sell me the car however.

He sent me an email late Friday afternoon telling me to bring a check for $15,000 to proceed. We agreed on Saturday.

This morning he sends me an email saying the car is sold, I can't have it.

I think this is unethical and outrageous. He made a committment, we specd the car, and now I am punished for not buying two cars. I called him and he said someone brought him a check first. He said it did not matter to him that we had an arrangement, or that he committed the car to me.

Buyers beware, this dealership cannot be trusted, and do not follow through on their word.

I have kept all the emails in case anyone wants to verify this themselves.

I am so mad I could spit.

I wouldn't post duplicate, but I see my other threads dissapeared.

I think this subject is a valid post. Please don't delete.

As long as a post like this is true it won't be deleted. If we suspect an experience is fabricated we can/will ask for a measure of proof or delete the thread. Your experience doesn't appear to be fabricated and L-Talk has a superb history of allowing all true experiences to be posted for the benefit of our vast overall Community. In fact, sharing experiences & help IS our Mission Statement! But as David mentioned multiple posts are not neccesary.

With your documentation of this experience Lamborghini will now allow you to buy from any Dealer of your chosing, without the Rules of buying in your Territory. So now you have the option of using any Dealer of your choice. These experiences are very valuable and allow you the benefit of our knowledge & experience (like the fact you are now freed from Territorial Rules) and the chance for all of us to digest all of our cumulative experiences (like yours) and vote with our feet and our wallet, and find satisfaction with those Companies that provide the Level of Service Lamborghini Owners & Buyers Deserve..

I've been an appologist for Ferrari & Lamborghini on service & parts issues for 30 years, so I can relate to your disatisfaction as well as every owner here can. But believe it or not, things at Lambo are improving and that's because L-Talk has given US a voice! And OUR VOICE spreads Far and Wide and Echoes Loudly in the places that count. However, the types of change that we strive for don't happen overnight, but they are and do happen. And you can feel comfortable knowing that your experience is part of the evolution & change.

Regards, JRV

Default Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for above. I can assure you this is true, and am happy to scan my completed order sheet, with prices, addresses, times and dates, and post them here. I will also post all emails.

Simply, when I would not buy two cars, "the lustre is off the deal", and the car was sold to someone for over sticker, as he threatend to do. He did not even wait till the day was over. I mean, he faxes me my order, asks for the deposit (I live 100 miles away), then sells the car.

I spent an entire week on this deal, numerous phone calls, emails, an entire afternoon at the dealership test driving, picking options, to end like this. Never even a communication saying that I have until said time to bring a check.

I do believe these business practices need to be considered for anyone considering Lamborghini of Denver, and the experience is educational for all future buyers.

Blue,

We believed you!!! Otherwise we would have sought PROOF long before now. Every single Mod Here is a LONG TIME LAMBO OWNER (& can spot BS a mile away) , as well as 85% of the 5000+ Members. So you are preaching to the Choir so to speak. We know stories like yours exist & even worse stories.....far worse, the archives are full of them!!!! Personal Experiences Good & Bad are Fully Accepted & Appreciated BY EVERYONE, THEY DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. By posting your Experience YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE!!! OUR Site doesn't Have 37+Million hits for nothing!! We Get Heard my friend!!

So, now it's on to your options....it's like X wives....just because one choice didn't work out doesn't mean we have to become celebate. If you really want a Lambo, which I highly reccomend, then you need to find a Dealer that's a Class Act & Treats you right!!! Write the Factory a Letter (although they've already read it here) and expess your dismay. Then smoke LoDenv'ers ass and buy a Spyder from someone else, with a warranty from the Factory that LODen has to accept.......There are A LOT of BAD DEALERS and There are GOOD DEALERS....and we're here to help seperate the Wheat from the Shaft.
On a simular note I've talked on the phone a time or two with LoDenvers head Mechanic and he is a good, knowledable guy. I'm a Mechanic with 30 yrs experience on Ferraris & Lambos and oner thing that always gets to me is that the Clients (guys like you) have a hard time seperating the Salesmen that come & go from the Real Professionals that spend their life Servicing Clients. A car salesman is not a REAL Carrerer, a Master Mechanic is a Carreer. Like I've told more than one salesman, I can sell a Lamborghini, Can you Tune One?

I've spent alot more time on this thread than I wanted to. However, I realized that with such a huge memborship over the last 5 years that new members need positive reinforcement of L-Talks Goals. L-TALK IS A WORLD WIDE COMMUNITY OF HELP & SUPPORT FOR OWNERS & POTENTIAL OWNERS!!! There is not a larger or more honest group of Lamborghini Owners & Fans in the World & this is heard & appreciated by an entire Planets worth of members. And WE Have Made A Difference, and WE will Continue to Make a Difference!!!

Chris,

I think you came out on top.

Just think what would have happened if you purchased the car and had to deal with them regarding problems. Better to know who you are dealing with before giving them cash.

Most people think that because it's a Lamborghini (exotic) dealership that they have passed some kind of special honesty dealer association tests. And although all of the sales people I've had the good opportunity to talk to seem very honest. This doesn't negate the fact that in the end they are all just what they are...car salesmen. And you do have to watch you own A$$ (interests) from start to finish when making a deal. You should have known this. Shame on you. You should also have dealt with someone with a long reputation of good customer service; otherwise you are taking a very big chance. Besides the financial downside, it makes the whole purchase experience, which is a great and special part of the owning an exotic car, ruined from the start. Oh, I hate that!

So, again feel lucky you came out on top. Just start over and enjoy the ride.
