Default About to pull the trigger on a 04 G Egear/Need Advice

Hello everyone

I am hoping to be a proud member of the lambo club soon.
I am looking at a 04 Blue G Egear with about 10k miles. Overall looks great , has 2 tone blue/white interior/ powder coated rims/ and an aftermarket navigation which if I purchase I plan on swapping back to OEM.

My questions:
What’s turn around on Egear? Will it be something im used to quickly? I’ve been driving stick for a while and don’t mind trying something new. I test drove the car twice and the shifts are blistering!. Carfax is clean and plan on bringing it to a lambo tech to further inspect it.

I’m assuming its out of warranty. with 7k miles per year what kind of maintenance am i looking at? Do the 04 egears have major issues?

I know this is subjective but will I get bored of the e-gear? I would like the opinions of current egear owners

Whets the button on the center console for with the gas pump symbol?

is 10k miles on a G to much?

How does the Lamborghini paint hold up to rock chips?

Thanks

Well, this may not qualify me, but I rented an 06 Gallardo in California for 24 hours and was bored with the EGear when I returned it the next day. I thought the EGear was very slow to shift under full power. It tended to jerk your head forward then violently jerk your head back when it got into the next gear. It would jerk your head forward because it would take all the power from the engine very rapidly. It would jerk your head back because it would add power just as quickly as it took it away. And it was a pain in any kind of tafic, especially in LA traffic and any kind of parking lot, because it would constantly engage and then disengage the clutch. It made you look like a fool when you tried to drive at any speed under 10 miles an hour. I just bought an 06 Giallo Midas Gallardo in a manual and simply love it! It's a stunning car because I bought it with the two-tone yellow and black interior, and as if that was not enough of an amazing car, I had it ordered with the Callisto wheels!

I need to go now and look at it and marvel at how neat it looks!

Bye-bye,
Rick W.

Default Thanks for the insight, Im going with 6 speed

lol thats a great color combo .. I just purchased a 05 G and went with the traditional 6 speed, I think Both the egear and 6 speed trannys are great in their own respects but wanted the 6 speed subconsciously. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow.. Very excited
