Owned Gen 1 and 2 Vipers for over 10 years without any issues!!! Perhaps the later cars are suffering reliability issues??! Too bad as they really are great cars!

Gen 1-4 have EXCELLENT record for reliability.....the Gen 5's have been good aside from the motor.....which is obviously the most important system of the car and by which most (deservingly so) measure a car's reputation by

WOW, that is too bad and I'm sorry to hear about the issues with Gen 5. Hate to see the Viper go out on a bad note as I really enjoyed my time with the car!! Never really considered it when buying the G, but would have been looking at Gen 5......

I know in the Gen 5 they fixed the heat issue in the cabin, and the interior is way nicer IMO. but the motor is trash just like the hellcat motor lol.

Agreed. FCA really dropped the ball on the gen 5 viper, it could have been saved...and still might come back in a few years if they can accomplish the following:

1. Add side curtain airbags (FACT)

and for opinion....
2. Promote with the vigor they did of the Demon
3. Offer a targa or convertible option
4. Offer a DCT/auto option
5. Keep at price point of Z06

Lol what a surprising comment from a butt-hurt Z06 owner....not.....they've been upset since the ACR came along and cleaned everybody's clock on the track. Don't suppose you want to discuss overheating issues on the "most capable track corvette ever" LOl...one lap and they die. Plenty of Gen V's out there with no issues I've owned two including an ACR-E. Just keep regurgitating what you "heard"...typical non owner.

Lol no ones butt hurt?
I love the viper, and I appreciate what it can do around the track. I know it's one of he fastest cars to go around the track.
That being said all the new gen viper owners I know have had issues. I know plenty of z06 owners with no issues or any engines blowing up with such few miles.
Funny you mention the c7z overheating on the track... because mine did lmao. So did my gtr. Only car that was flawless on the track were the
Mclarens.
