Default 2012 LP 550-2.. 1 Year Service

The other day I dropped off my car at LNB for the 1 year service. Hard to believe I have had the car for that long, goes by fast. The car now has 4400 miles on it and was curious to see what my clutch reading was. It has not been babied by any means, but it has been driven it CORSA from the day it left the lot.

So to the surprise of the service manager, from an original reading of 19.4mm, I currently at 19.3mm. The clutch has worn .1mm, pretty crazy!!!

He also stated that he has yet to do a clutch job on a 550.

It seems that Lamborghini really has done a nice job improving on what was one of the big issues.

2wd cars are easier on clutches anyway.

Glad to hear that Turn! Although I'm not surprised. There virtually no slippage compared to my 08. Thanks for sharing the info.

Great News!

I hate to rain on everyone's parade though.

There are still all those actuators, pumps, relays, etc... that have had problems in the past.

Yes newer egear system is MUCH better at managing clutch. On the new egears I wouldn't be surprised if they lasted 40-50k. The key is to not feather the throttle too much when starting from a stop (especially up a hill). When you are ready to go, GO.

2wd is much less abusive on clutch as well because the tires take the slack, not the clutch.

There isnt an Egear story than can compare to owning a Ferrari and paying those service bills!!!
