Default 2006 Gallardo Spyder Restoration

Some of you may recall i had a small accident back in Sept that required a new fender and some front bumper work. Decided to strip the car and cure all little ills at the same time. This is a full restoration and at this stage is painful to see... but the result will be perfection at the conclusion.

So the car is stripped, all panels to metal, and the re-painting begins next week with new front and rear bumpers, grills, hardware (thanks Ravi) .. replacing the rocker panels as well as all the inner fender wells.

I'll send pics as it begins to go back together.

hoping we will be all done by Christmas. Looked into reverting the doors back to stock but that was just a bit much so will leave them alone. can;t wait to have it back. Now mechanically perfected this face list is the final step. i'll post more pics as it starts to resemble a car again

If going that far I'd 100% fix the doors but to each his own.

yeah the way they did the doors was a hack with no plans to reverse it, and to reverse it would be major. Not that what i am doing already is not major but that was a really tough decision. The shop and i spent a few days discussing and they finally convinced me to leave well enough alone there.

When I first saw the pics, I had to re-read your post! Wow!

It is painful to have your car at a body shop. Even if its just for new stuff!
